Upper Neuadd Reservoir

The Upper Neuadd Reservoir is set in a beautiful part of the Brecon Beacons national park with the beacons providing a scenic backdrop for fly fishing for trout in this golden corner of Powys.The Upper Neuadd Reservoir is open for trout fishing from 20th March to 17th October every year. Opening times for fishing are 6am to one hour after sunset. Members of M.T.A.A have a bag limit of four trout a day, however,the angling association committee encourages a catch and release policy .The cost of day tickets for Upper Neuadd Reservoir is £8.50 for Adults and £5 for junior anglers.The bag limit for day tickets is 2 fish after which you must catch and release.Pease go to the above M.T.A.A. link for more ticket information.The minimum size limit for trout taken is 10 inches / 25cms from the tip of the snout to the tip of the tail.This is a fly fishing only reservoir and only fly rods,fly reels and lines are to be carried when trout fishing at this one of the best locations for trout fishing in Powys.
